Hey Baby, it’s the 4th of July!

28 Jun

We are hitting a string of conflicts that are making doing the radio show on a consistent basis difficult. For this we apologize, and I hope we have better luck later this summer. So no program this coming Wednesday, due to the holiday. We expect to return on the 11th. Until then, please enjoy this homage to one of the best bands this country has produced, doing one of their best songs as written by Dave Alvin.

It’s Gonna be Sweet!

In anticipation of our attendence at the Matthew Sweet show at the Egg this coming Friday, we will be featuring his music on the show tomorrow evening. It will give us the excuse to go all power pop crazy, what with the fab new album from the db’s, “Falling Off the Sky” to play as well. The weather will be warm, so expect the music to match! Dial it in……..

Due to a misremembered work obligation, I will be unable to fufill my duties as host of the program this coming Wednesday evening. Hoping to provide a more than capable replacement, but if not, I will reward folks with a super fab show in two weeks. Truly sorry for the mixup.

UPDATE: Woody Herman who hosts the unparalleled Oldies program on Thursday evenings will be filling in for this week. Thanks Woody!
